CROCHET SERIES: GRANNY SQUARE

Standard

Ok everyone how are we doing with our crocheting? Hope you all have been practicing!!!! OK here we go with our next installment: The Granny Square:-) First did you know that you can make many different colored granny squares and sew them all together to make a blanket? Of course you do! LOL  I’m sure you’ve seen granny square blankets all over the place! For this lesson I want you to follow the video but I don’t want you to end when the instructor ends the square I want you to keep on going and make a 60″ or more Granny Square. When you’re done you’ll have a throw blanket:-) How cool is that. I’m also going to add a video that will show you how to change colors.

*Hint: if you would like your blanket to be bright, add black to the piece* Black in a blanket always makes the other colors POP!

OK, here goes:

WOW!!!!! That’s a lot of videos! Take your time, if you make a mistake just pull it out and start again:-)

Note: When the blanket is the size you want it, just finish it off (shown in the final video) and BAM! You have a Granny Square blanket:-)))0

I think next time I will show you how to do a Ripple Blanket:-) Happy Crocheting and Practice, Practice, Practice!

We would like to thank Bethintxl for all her great videos.
